Food & Drink Gift Basket Ideas

  • Breakfast Basket: This is a great gift for anyone. Include specialty pancake or waffle mixes, flavored syrups, teas, a loaf of breakfast bread, jam, muffin mixes, etc.
  • Hot Chocolate Basket: When the weather outside is frightful, a basket of hot chocolate is delightful! Choose a wide variety of different flavored hot cocoa mixes, chocolate dipped spoons, candy canes for stirring, and a few winter themed mugs and mini-marshmallows.
  • Coffee Basket: If someone on your list is addicted to coffee, this is another great gift idea. Simply choose some gourmet coffees and a coffee mug, as well as perhaps powdered creamer or flavored syrups. You could also get them coffee gadgets, such as a coffee press or a bean grinder if they don’t already have one.
  • Tea Basket: If the person prefers tea over coffee, this is another great gift basket idea. Include a number of specialty teas and tea cups, and possibly a tea pot and other tea related accessories. You could also include a few lemons or a jar of honey in the gift box.
  • Some Like it Hot Basket: This is a great idea for anyone who loves spicy foods and hot sauce. You could include: various hot sauces, spicy party mix, jalapeno flavored chips, and other spicy snacks you think the person might enjoy.
  • Wine & Cheese: A simple gift basket for anyone who likes to entertain, include a bottle of sparkling wine, a few select gourmet cheeses and crackers.
  • Chocolate Lovers: Know someone who loves chocolate? Then they’ll love a basket filled with all their favorite types of chocolate candies.
  • Gluten Free Basket:
    Do you know someone who is gluten free? Then consider making them a basket of gluten free bread mixes, cookies, snacks, pastas and other foods. Most grocery stores have aisles specifically for gluten free foods, so that may be a good place to start in looking for items to include.
  • Pasta Basket: This can be a fun gift idea for anyone who enjoys pasta. Include tomato sauces, noodles, grated Parmesan cheese, and other tasty things you enjoy.
  • Nuts Basket: For someone who loves nuts, they would love a basket filled with assorted mixed nuts, peanuts, and trail mix.
  • Pizza Basket: Include a pizza pan, pepperoni, sauce, dough mix, pizza cutter, and Italian seasoning and anything else pizza related you can think of!
  • Love to Bake Basket: For someone who loves baking, include bread mixes, muffin mixes, cupcake mixes, icing, cookie mixes, brownie mixes, cupcake wrappers, a cookbook or magazine, etc. etc.
  • Cookie/Cupcake Decorating Basket: Here’s another fun gift for someone who loves baking – a basket of supplies for decorating cupcakes and cookies! Choose a sugar cookie or cupcake mix, colored sugars, sprinkles, icings, and other various supplies you’ll find in the baking section at the grocery store.
  • Taco Gift Basket: Taco shells, re-fried beans, black beans, chips and salsa, and hot sauce and taco seasoning packets make for a great gift for anyone who loves Tacos!
  • Cookie Monster Basket: Fill up a container with cookies of all types and bonus if you can find cookie monster related things like notebooks, hats, stickers, etc.
  • Fruit Basket: Fruit baskets are very easy to make. Simply buy some oranges, some clementines, apples, pears, and any other favorite fruits.
  • Soup Basket: Nothing is as comforting as a warm bowl of soup on chilly winter nights! Find some dry soup mixes (you may have to order online or buy at a craft fair), a set of big pretty soup bowls, soup spoons, and a “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book or soup recipe book.
  • CrockPot Gift Basket: If the person does not already have a crockpot, consider purchasing one for them and filling up with different things such as a crock pot cookbook, pot holders, and canned ingredients to make a meal.
  • Vegan/Vegetarian Gift Basket: For the vegetarian or vegan in your life, choose some vegetarian and vegan foods (Whole Foods or other specialty health food stores will have a great selection of items!)
  • Bacon Gift Basket: Oh, for the love of bacon…there are all types of novelty items with a bacon theme, from rulers to bandages to candy that looks like bacon. Great gift idea for the bacon lover!
  • Honey Basket: Honey makes for a great sweet treat. Find honey from a local beekeeper and put in a basket with honey teas and honey flavored treats.
  • Ice Cream Sundae Basket: Fill with all the treats and fixings for a deluxe ice cream sundae!
  • Homemade Preserves: If you know how to make your own preserves, you can make jellies, jams, salsas and pickles and sauces for everyone on your list.
  • BBQ Basket: Include grill tongs and grilling accessories, as well as a nice variety of rubs/seasonings and spices, and BBQ sauces.
  • Peanut Butter Lover’s Gift Basket: For the peanut butter lover, get them a jar of peanut butter, Reese’s peanut butter cups, Chex Muddy Buddies, peanut butter cookies, peanut butter brownies, and others favorites.
  • Chocolate Covered Foods Basket: You can make or purchase chocolate covered nuts, pretzels, strawberries, and other tasty treats to include in a basket full of chocolatey goodness.
